Upgrading to a RS600 Nighthawk Router
Upgrading our network to an RS 600 Nighthawk for a number of reasons, (coverage, speed, capacity) from an older Nighthawk RAX series Any upgrade or conversion tips any of you have for the RS600? ...

You can first set up the RS router off line while you have the older router still online.
Setup using a wired PC and web browser:

Use same SSID name and password for the wireless network.
Can use same channels.
After the RS is staged and mostly setup, power ON the RS near the out going router. Reboot the ISP modem or ONT. Disconnect the old router from the ISP modem or ONT and connect to the RS. After the RS is ready, turn OFF the out going router and remove it. Your wifi devices should have auto migrated to the RS routers wifi.

What RAX do you have? They were pretty solid and if you don't have any wifi 7 devices, you might not see much (if any) benefit to upgrading yet.
I'm a fan of waiting on new technology for firmware to improve and for new devices (phones/tablets) to be added that can actually get a benefit from it.
