You should be good to go now on the CM modem.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

This is curious and of no impact but did i find a bug?
went to go test QOS tonight and found that the display reverted back to the 73mb even though this test has been re ran a few times
clicked into QOS saw this
re ran the test got this
clicked apply to 'save the test', QOS page reloads after the apply to this (no i did not re use the print screen i took a fresh one
re run the test and its where it should be, so is it saving off the old information and not updating it ? new bug ?
so i re re ran the test clicked apply and when the page refreshed it still is reading the 73 BH_C i think we have a bug, how do we report that ?
- BH_CAug 31, 2024NETGEAR Expert
The "Apply" buttonn does not save the speed test result. The old data could be the cache in the browser. If you open a new browser window in the Incognito mode to access the router's Web GUI, will you see the old test results?
- Clonea1Aug 31, 2024Aspirant
yes in a new private browser the same is displayed, as well as the same from a different machine, and the odds of a second machine also having the same cached values is pretty low i would think
from my laptop in private
from a RDP with my server also in private
- Clonea1Aug 31, 2024AspirantAnd more of the same from my work laptop that has been in a bad for a week and half that I have been on vacation and pre dates me owning the rs700
- BH_CAug 31, 2024NETGEAR Expert
Your screeshots last night show the QoS is not enabled, and today's screenshots have QoS enabled. They are different situations. Can you do this:
1. uncheck the QoS and click Apply to make the change effective.
2. run speed test (you should get expected speeds now)
3. check "Enable QoS" and click Apply.
4. Now you should have QoS enabled and get around the expected speeds when you run speed test
- Clonea1Aug 31, 2024Aspirant
Yeh so i didnt include a full serius, if i let speed test manage QOS it caps me back at 75~ number, however if i set to manual and put in say 450 then i also test out at 350~
in this configuration speeds work as expected
i will disable and run steps one by one as you have detailed shortly
- Clonea1Aug 31, 2024Aspirant
1. - off state what the page loads to
2. - re running the speed test
3. - enable QOS and apply
4. - after the apply and page reload this is what is presented
... its not letting me put a third print screen, but in that specific order of operations the value did update. i still thing this is a bug because you shouldn't have to disable run the test, reenable to lock in the values those should dynamically update and not require the toggling
- Clonea1Aug 31, 2024Aspirant
results of disable of QOS, run test, re enable QOS and page reload
also when running the test its self it should not be bound by the QOS ceiling, as that could cause it to not see more available bandwidth being made available. it should run out side of the that rule set
- BH_CAug 31, 2024NETGEAR Expert
"i still thing this is a bug because you shouldn't have to disable run the test, reenable to lock in the values those should dynamically update and not require the toggling"
Yes, I agree. We will work on it. Thanks.
