I was able to get the receipt but the process up to that point has been really time consuming and haven't gotten the type of support I would expect for the cost of the Wifi Router. I'm curious as to what the experience would be if I had purchased the support.

They now have all the information and now I am waiting for an email or call from them on how I can return the Wifi Router. It seems like its a bit more complicated since it was a gift the name on the Proof of Purchase is different.

Most RMAs they need a proof of purchase.

I think I might need more than Good Luck with NetGear. Since I provided the Proof of Purchase and a Photo of the Router / Modem there has been no action. I have called support a couple of times since then and they claim they have escalated the issue but it has gone no where and now doubting it is being escalated out of the Overseas Call Center. Its extremely disappointing for a piece of equipment that most of us now depend on.
I will update this thread if anything changes.
