I'm running a readynas 104 with 4 WD red 3TB drives
Firmwareversion is 6.5.1
my issue is as follows:
I'be created a new folder for an external user;
I also created a new user;
I shared this new folder with one external user via the option "full Folder Acces" and invited him to create a MyNetgear account, this was done by clicking on the link in the mail;
he now can login to my NAS correctly;
the problem is that he can't see his shared folder although I gave him full read/write rights for this folder. He did try to also install the ReadyCloud desktop app and does see my NAS. Status however, is ofline and it won't connect.
I could just share the files in the folder by sending a web link but then he won't be able to write to this share. Please let me know what I'm missing
SMB, AFP, HTTP and DLNA are enabled and read/write is also enabled for this person.
Hello HansK,
Aside from signing up invite the user received on his email, I think he should also have received an email that invites him to access the folder which gives the user a link that he needs to click to confirm the invite.
If not, then remove the user from the ReadyCloud access which is under Manage. Then reinvite, that user should receive a new email that he/she needs to open to click the "link" to confirm the invite.
Regards,

ik removed all users with that name and invited him again. Althoug he doensn't need to accept the invite, the shares are showing now.
