Amazon Cloud Sync app
I’ve been using amazon drive / photos sync successfully for a few years now. The readynas service creates its own AmazonCloudDrive share and I created my own AmazonShare share on the nas and included it in the sync folders.
My workflow is... all our family devices have amazon prime photo installed which automatically backs up photos and video when on WiFi. The readynas syncs automatically with amazon giving me a local copy (should I ever fall out with amazon..). This syncd copy appears in the AmazonDriveSync folder.
To maintain some organisational structure on the nas, I move the files manually (initially using the readynas file browser but now using ssh using ‘mv’ is much quicker) from the above folder to dated folders in my AmazonShare folder (eg jan2018, feb2018, mar2018..). This used to work... but now once the files are moved they’re no longer showing up in Prime Photo/Amazon Cloud Drive.
It looks like the sync to amazon on my manually organised share has broken, anything I do there now is no longer reflected on amazon. New photos still show up on the nas in AmazonCloudDrive folder but if I move them they disappear from amazon photo libraries.
its a long winded description... but if anyone can shed light on this I’d be very grateful!

hi there
Is the sync enabled, or has it mysteriously switched off?

Sync is enabled “on” using the AmazonDrive Admin page. Could’ve sworn there was a green dot bottom right of the Amazon icon, it’s now blue? Maybe I imagined this but can anyone confirm if it conveys any particular state? Update.. scrap that.. it just went green so I assume it was syncing & now done.
i tried creating a new share & syncing it, it didn’t work, nothing I put in there made its way to amazonDrive/prime photo. The only folder that works is the original AmazonCloudDrive share which operates completely as expected.
I tried moving all my manually sorted folders back into the AmazonCloudDrive folder but it still didn’t upload the contents to amazon? I’ve checked user/group/permissions.. they’re identical to the stuff that appears to work. I’m stuck. Is there a way of starting everything all over, deleting whatever database readynas/amazon have & re upload everything?
