fix for transmission not starting on 6.1.6/7
For what it's worth, Transmission hasn't been starting properly at system boot since 6.1.4 for me (ReadyNAS Pro).
I finally tracked it down.
in /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target/wants/fvapp-transmissionr6.service there is a line:
After=apache2.service
change that to
After=readynasd.service
For some reason, transmission, which normally does not communicate at all with readynasd, in our version, does. The error message was:
SYSLOG_IDENTIFIER=transmission
MESSAGE=Error connecting to readynasd -2
and
SYSLOG_IDENTIFIER=transmission
MESSAGE=Error processing nml request

After installing 3.00.6 I notice that the after value is "apache2.service readynasd.service" :)
haven't tried a restart yet, but others already report success. Thanks pst and super-poussin! - The fix worked installing transmission 3.0.0.6 from super-poussin dropbox.
Tried the same workaround with amule but no results; the service is running but the system doesn't list it as active.
