Ended up installing both files, got an installation failed message but LMS 7.8 is up and running anyway.

Anyone tried to add the Google Music addon for LMS on the ReadyNas?

EDIT: tried myself and got stuck at:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 python-dev : Depends: python (= 2.7.3-4+deb7u1) but 2.7.3-4 is to be installed

Will try more later...

EDIT: apt-get install python2.7-dev did the trick. Seems to work fine now
EDIT2: be sure to use at least 3.1.1 of the unoffical google music api

OK, couldn't resist - upgraded to 7.8 with S-P's files on the dropbox. Like F.L, initial message makes it appear that the first file didn't install, but after the LMS file installed, all is OK. Thanks again S-P :thumbsup:

Hi Super Poussin, do you have plans to release new versions of LMS into the ReadyNAS Apps store? If not I will use your drop box files. Either way a (small admittedly) donation coming your way. When the LMS app arrived in the apps store I pretty much immediately upgraded my ReadyNAS duo. Merci beaucoup.

Great to hear you are still interested in LMS and the ReadyNAS. Although it's a shame you are not using the Netgear apps 'store' anymore. You seem to have many good addons there.

I don't need LMS on my duo, in any case there is still a SPARC version in the nightly builds. The Duo was, with its CPU, soooo slow. My ReadyNAS 312 can build a full catalog around 100 times faster. Your Duo failed? I was starting to think mine was deathproof :)

Hi super-poussin, thanks for your effort in providing the add-on for Ready NAS.

I recently bought Ready NAS RN104 ( OS 6.1.8 ). I am new to NAS and Linux. I have gone through most of the forum topics regarding Logitech media server(LMS) and tried to install it on my NAS.

My network has NAS connected to Wi-Fi router and Laptop. There is no internet connection. I used to run LMS on the laptop and play it on my Squeeze touch.
Now I want to run LMS on my NAS.

I tried to install LMS 7.8.0 files from your community drop box. As per the readme.txt, installed "logitechmediaserver_7.8.0_all.deb" waited for
installation success message and then installed "lms_1.0.7_all.deb"waited for installation success message. Now my app showed in the installed App screen.
Restarted the NAS. When I tried to switch on LMS, I am getting "Application Failed to initialize" 22002010000 message and app failed to launch.

Please help me. Is any thing i failed to do.

I try on my arm unit and it works fine , the only way to diagnose will be an ssh access to your nas if possible (PM me)
