No VPN server, no proxy server. OwnCloud might do what you want though, so maybe research that a bit.

Thank you Stephen, unfortunately I need a VPN. I was hoping to use the NAS to connect to my parent's house and browse a couple of website using their IP (region restriscted streaming, until a couple of days ago they were working with proxy and now they aren't anymore, so VPN is my last chance).
I cannot ask them to leave the PC on all the day, so being able to use the NAS would have been the perfect solution.

Hello gpaolo,
Have you not tried using ReadyNAS Remote instead? This will allow you to remotely access the NAS and its shares, it uses SMB for accessing the shares.

What he actually wants is to set up a remote web proxy, so web servers on the internet will think he is browsing from his parents house. Remote simply won't do that.
