OwnCloud is painfully flow, RN102, OS 6.1.4
Greetings.
My first post, just purchased my first ReadyNAS a few days ago (RN10200). For the most part, I love it!!
2 x 2 TB seagate in the default raid (mirrored). Network looks something like this... 1st FL. modem to DLink DIR-636L (w/ Gigabit). From DLink router to iMac. Another cat5e going up to 3rd floor to DLink 5 port Gigabit switch. From switch to ReadyNAS 102, a Mac Pro, and my experimental Unix machine (I do not access the ReadyNAS from the Unix machine... yet).
Using AFP to transfer files between both the iMac and Mac Pro is fast. Love it! But, when using OwnCloud (5.0.7-0rnx2) on the iMac (1st floor) to sync to ReadyNAS (3rd floor behind gigabit switch) is incredibly slow. I can copy a 9 GB file via Finder connected via AFP from same computer in under 2 minutes. Fast. With OwnCloud it has taken about 10 hours for only a few megabytes so far. I am trying to sync about 100GB of files via owncloud... I assume at this rate will take a very very long time.
Perhaps I am missing some settings somewhere? I would have thought for 100GB maybe two hours... but 10 hours for roughly 5 megabytes is ... well, I imagine it isn't correct.
Any help is so very greatly appreciated.
