Surveillance playback (.php) page suddenly unavailable. How to retrieve video recordings manually?
Hi, hope someone has help available. I have been using Readynas Surveillance for years without any issues. However suddenly without any reason (no changes made to software or NAS drive itself) th...

Hi xbmcgotham,
Can you download the system logs and provide it to us? We will check if there is something on the logs that can tell why the playback page is not loading.
You can send the logs by uploading it to a file-sharing site then send to me the download link via PM (private message).

Hi JohnCM_S
I was able to download the NAS log, however the surveillance log is empty. it does't matter if I go back in the previous days to download that log. any of those I click, turns up a empty list without the option to download. Any idea where these are located on the C folder so I can manually grab the surveillance log of today? See attached
StephenBThanks for the conversion tip

Hi xbmcgotham,
We found errors on the httpd_errors.log. It looks like something changed in September with your NAS configuration. It started to get these errors:
[Sat Sep 07 19:17:36 2019] [error] [client 192.168.50.134] PHP Notice: A session had already been started - ignoring session_start() in /opt/surveillance/web/utils.php on line 338, referer: http://192.168.50.42/surveillance/
[Sat Sep 07 19:17:36 2019] [error] [client 192.168.50.134] PHP Notice: Use of undefined constant NUUO_BASE_FOLDER - assumed 'NUUO_BASE_FOLDER' in /opt/surveillance/web/nuuo_common.php on line 9, referer: http://192.168.50.42/surveillance/We are not sure what happened on that date but that is when those errors started.
You can try restarting the NAS or re-installing the Surveillance add-on.

Hi JohnCM_S , Thanks alot for assisting together with your contacts.
I am not sure how to read these errors, meaning what they could be related to. I have no idea what changed. I do remember (a few months before the error date) installing and enabling Mysql server using the prepacked add-ons; MysqlOn, PHP and PhpMyadmin from https://rnxtras.com
But I think the playback.php page was still working than. Any other way narrowing done on the possible issue? I did a reinstall and restarted the NAS, but no change. This is strange as you would expect that the reinstall would reset surveillance data. Maybe I could remove the add-on again and manually remove the surveillance add-on installation folders? Are you able to give me specific folder locations which I have to delete to remove all traces of surveillance?
Have a good weekend.
