Recover data from Ready NAS Duo hard disks
Hi everyone.
Our company had a Ready Nas Duo running for storaging purposses.
The machine suffered a hardware failure and is no longer available but we could extract both hard disks from the inside. We have not tested them yet but should be functional more likely.
We were using Raid X and we would like to know how can we recover data from them. Is there any software available for this?
Thank you in advance
Regards

The ReadyNAS Duo comes with a 3 year warranty, so perhaps you could get it replaced under warranty (if still covered)? - grupowerkAspirantHi, thank you for your reply.
Since the hardware failure we have been using a online backup service so we no longer need a local backup system, for now.
Is there any chance of getting back what is on the disks without buying a new NAS?
Thank you - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSo you didn't qualify for a replacement under warranty?
There are other methods of data recovery, but the simplest is to use a ReadyNAS Duo or NV+.
You can recover the data using a PC. Plenty of info if you search the forum on how to do this using disk 1. - grupowerkAspirantHi again.
Thank you for your comment. I´m afraid I have not been able to find that info in the forum.
It would be great if you could show me some link about it.

- poucedeleonAspirantI am trying to recover some movies that are on my ReadyNas. If I only have one good disk will I be able to recover the data with R-Studio?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredDepends which disk it is.
