RN102 Wordpress DNS record query

Hey everyone,

I have installed wordpress , and created a basic site which I want to point a domain name record to.

Few questions:

The site is located locally at: https://192.168.1.3/apps/wordpress/

How would I change this to a HTTP address so I can open port 80 on my router to point a domain name to port 80 of my WAN IP?

When I type http://192.168.1.3:80 into my address bar it redirects me to: https://192.168.1.3/admin/   - the readynas's management page , how do I specify that port 80 redircts to the wordpress subfolder?

Is it possible to backup the database's content , as unlike some other addons there is no share created for wordpress?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards,

Paul

There's an http redirect setting in system-settings->http, but it can only be set to a share, not a folder in a share.

      Per the manual (http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/readynas6.2_11March2015.pdf)

If you want to automatically redirect http:// to a certain shared folder, select that folder from the drop-down list. This is useful if you do Redirect default web access to this folder not want to expose your default folder listing to outsiders. To redirect to a shared folder, create an index file (such as index.htm or index.html) in your target shared folder and enable the HTTP protocol for read-only access to that folder.

If you are using a paid ddns service, they often do support redirection also.

Hmm , the wordpress app does not create a share to allow a http redirct to point to it

Unless maybe I create one with an Index.html page that has a meta redirect encoded hmmm
