I did as you mentioned and disabled the 6.4.1 Virus protection then tried again. I still get a waiting icon with no response. I deinstalled the Anti-Virus Plus and reinstalled it with the 6.4.1 Virus disabled and that did nothing. So in short it still hangs when i try to save the settings on the Overview page even with the default NAS virus protection disabled.

You might try rebooting and see if the performance improves.

Hi ToddHamp,
If rebooting the unit still won't fix the problem, I hope you could try to load the latest RC Firmware.

I rebooted and now it tells me that it can't connect to the internet. I checked my router and I see its IP address but without the NAS name identifying it. So i rebooted again and still nothing. I pinged the NAS with full success and i can browse to its files so i know it is on the network. i am getting very frustrated with this thing. I bought it for the virus protection because i almost lost everything to a ransomeware virus on my old ReadyNAS Duo. Now my old Duo is working a hell of a lot better. Without network capabilities the virus definitions have no way of updating.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi ToddHamp,
Are you pertaining to the internet status under the cloud tab? Kindly add DNS 4.2.2.2 and 8.8.8.8 in the active ethernet interface of your ReadyNAS and see if it fixes the problem.
Looking forward to your response.
Kind regards,

Well i tried the secondary ethernet port and i am now back online. That made no difference it still will not install the Anti-Virus Plus but that is the least of my problems. Now i have a bad ethernet port and i only had this thing for a month. should i start a new post concerning that because i want to be able to either fix it or replace the ethernet card.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the DNS IPs they got the primary port back up an running again. It would be nice to just be able to reset the darn things like i do with my PCs. I am going to wait till the next release of 6.4.2, i am not going to take any chances on the beta version right now. i appreciate your help and i will try again when the final release of 6.4.2 comes.
