Has anyone been able to achieve this? As Olest said you have to create a TAP interface, i did that, still unable to connect to the readynas itself. All other IP addresses within the network are accessible correctly.
I have tried this with 1 single TAP device in Local Bridge settings
I have tried this with 1 TAP device and 1 Eth adapter in Local Bridge settings.
Both times used SecureNAT configuration. both results were the same, everything accessible on the network but NOT anything hosted on the readynas. I tried connecting to the Actual IP address of my readynas and the IP address of the SecureNAT interface. Still no go.
What am i missing here or doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am using the latest VPN server version 1.3.0
P.S I did read the following article by Softether in the troubleshooting section:
=================
11.1.2 I am unable to communicate with the IP address of the Virtual Network Adapter used for local bridging from within the VPN.
if you are using Linux or Solaris, you can communicate within the Virtual Hub (VPN) from the network adapter connected to by the local bridge to the LAN, but you can not communicate to the network adapter itself. This is a restriction imposed by the Linux kernel. For more information please refer to 3.6 Local Bridges.
===================
So that would make sense why it is not working, and i do understand the use of the TAP device to work around this, but how?
Thank you
