Support Contact for ReadyNAS Surveillance License Reset

When trying to add two 4 camera licences I get the following error message:

"You have reached the maximum channels. The limitation of extensible channels is 7."

A similar message is displayed when I try the offline tool.

OS and app versions are the latest.

I think from other posts that I need to have my licences reset by Netgear.

Who at Netgear do I send this request to, what is the contact email address?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you for the prompt response, which however did not actually answer the question.

I purchased a Netgear product and licences some time ago and am now out of warranty period so can only go down the paid premium support route.

My issue stems not from hardware failure though but from Netgear’s unilateral decision to revoke my licences.

As Netgear have specifically disabled my product, Netgear should give me a free and easy channel through which to get these genuine licences reactivated. Not force me down a premium support route which has already cost me a lengthy and fruitless phone call.

I have had multiple activations of the same licences because of a need to reinstall software and perform a factory reset following buggy updates. I am not the only person - read the forums.

This does not make me a software pirate or someone trying to fiddle Netgear, check your logs – you will see that the hardware ID was the same in each case.

Somebody somewhere in Netgear manages the ReadyNAS Surveillance licence server. This person almost certainly has an email address. As I clearly requested originally, please can you provide me with this information so that I can use my Netgear products in line with my legitimate entitlement.

      Thank you.

      Hello PeteShelling,

The reset of the Surveillance license should not require a support contract, please try to contact support again and refer to this forum link.
