Surveillance playback (.php) page suddenly unavailable. How to retrieve video recordings manually?
Hi, hope someone has help available. I have been using Readynas Surveillance for years without any issues. However suddenly without any reason (no changes made to software or NAS drive itself) th...

ReadyNAS Surveillance was discontinued in 2017 ( https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Storage-Apps-Current/Netgear-ReadyNAS-Surveillance/m-p/1425608#M7328 ). So I am surprised it's worked this long for you.

Try mounting the NAS data volume on a PC and searching there for the recordings. You can mount this using the Windows command prompt.
Assuming you are running OS 6 on your ultra (and that you are using XRAID), the commands would be:
net use * /delete
net use t: \\nas-ip-address\data /user:admin nas-admin-password
Be careful on the typing (both slash directions and spaces).

Thanks for the quick response again StephenB
Firstly, why would something stop working if nothing changes in the configuration. Are you telling me they build in a timer that would work as a kill switch for the surveillance software? And why only kill the playback php page and leave all else work perfect?
Secondly, its Raid 4.2.31 (X-raid2)
How would I get to the root of it while mounting it in windows? Same as your OS6 example?

No idea why it stopped working now - it's not a service I ever used, so I have no experience with it. Maybe JohnCM_S will chime in.

Also, you might want to reconfigure file explorer to show hidden files and folders.
