Upgrading RN312 RAM to 4 GB (works!)
Maybe this is old news... but still:
Seems that upgrading the RAM in the new Intelbased ReadyNAS series works just fine.
Popping in a 4 GB module was quick and easy, and worked without further configuration. Nice!
Having tried the same thing in an UltraNAS it did not work with the RAM modules I had, so this was a lot easier.
I guess the RN300 series (and its siblings) are just a more modern design.
