Adding New hard drive to ReadyNas 2304

Hi,   Please advise how to add new Hard drive to an empty bay of ReadyNas 2304. I tried to insert it when nas is running but nothing happened. It didnt sync to the existing raid.   Current drive ...

    Try selecting the drive, and then format it using the format control on the right of the screen.

Thank you StephenB . That solved the problem. After selecting the drive and then format, it started to sync with the other drives.
