apt-get update GPG error: NO_PUBKEY

Hello NETGEAR engineers,

I recently try to update the package lists on RN214 running ReadyNasOS 6.6.0 version. and got the following error:

It seems that apt.readynas.com is NOT working, and egnyte-cdn.egnyte.com requires a GPG pubkey.

Will NETGEAR still allow user to modify/update/install packages from apt.readynas.com? I've searched through the forum and could not find any post regarding this issue.

Thank you StephenB for replying. It's good to know that Netgear does NOT maintain the packages avaiable for each ROM versions!

I accidently deleted one of the package "readynas-agent", which is preventing admin web interface to be loaded. (I know this is dumb, but I only know this after I did it)

      root@nas-5D-CF-8E:~/bin# apt-cache show readynas-agent

I wonder if this is anyway to get this packages for ROM 6.6.0? or Will the package be recovered, if I re-flash the rom 6.6.0 again?

I searched on the forum the way to flash through ssh is:

      # echo /root/ReadyNASOS-6.6.0-arm.img > /etc/.flash_update

Is there anything else I shoudl pay attention to? (of course I will do back up first). Thank you all for your advices and suggestions in advance.

The NAS does not run from flash, and I doubt you managed to remove anything from the gzipped OS version in flash.   So, all you should need to do is an OS re-install, which will refresh the running copy on your drives from the copy in flash.  You can accomplish that from the boot menu.  Just be sure to not accidently do a factory default, which will wipe your data.  Note that this will also set the password back to the default password, disable volume quotas (if you have them enabled), and set the LAN to unbound and DHCP (if you have them set to somehting else).  So, you just need to go back and reset your password and options.

Why you would continue to run an ancient version of the OS is yet another question; but it's your choice.
