The NAS does not run from flash, and I doubt you managed to remove anything from the gzipped OS version in flash. So, all you should need to do is an OS re-install, which will refresh the running copy on your drives from the copy in flash. You can accomplish that from the boot menu. Just be sure to not accidently do a factory default, which will wipe your data. Note that this will also set the password back to the default password, disable volume quotas (if you have them enabled), and set the LAN to unbound and DHCP (if you have them set to somehting else). So, you just need to go back and reset your password and options.
Why you would continue to run an ancient version of the OS is yet another question; but it's your choice.

Thank you Sandshark and StephenB for your reply!
I spent several days backing up all the files, and about to perform an OS reinstallation. After a clean reboot, I am able to get admin web interface back! Now, I recalled that after I removed "readynas-agent" package and had an power failure (my UPS did not perform an graceful shutdown successfully).
When I get to the NAS through ssh, the apt.readynas.com is magically working, but egnyte-cdn.egnyte.com still not, unfortunately.
I immediately updated the full package list and downloaded the missing package:
# apt-get update # wget http://apt.readynas.com/packages/readynasos/dists/6.6.0/main/pool/r/readynas-agent/readynas-agent_1.0_armel.deb

It will be nice if packages could be extracted from the ReadynasOS rom files, and I did a quick search through the forum, found that it's not allowed due to some proprietary code.
Lesson learned here is:
- back-up the packages with the correct version number before remove them
- RAID is NOT a backup, should maintain a real backup regularly!
- Do NOT touch/change any working system:smileyhappy:
It still remains a mystery to me why a power failure killed the admin web interface. I am happy to the current results, and Thank you all for your supports!

Do you power cycle the NAS often? This could have been something just waiting to happen the next time it was cycled, which just happened to be the power failure. Many problems folks blame on an OS update is actually the same thing.
