The combination EDA500 and StarTech.com 2-port SATA 6 Gbit/s PCI Express eSATA (PEXESAT32) WORKS!!!
But if you connect the second EDA500 to the second port of the PCI, it does NOT work.
Good luck to you all.
Thanks for the responses!

Thanks, So, I understand it is maybe possible. I think the EDA500 is like a dockingstation, it should be possible. Any feedback if I am wrong.

Certainly Netgear did not design it to be a general esata expansion, so I wouldn't go as far as saying it "should be possible"
I suspect the port on the PC would have to support the sata Port Multiplier functionality at the very least..

My PC is connected with a USB 3.0 cable with the Belkin aluminium 4-poorts USB 3.0-hub, this hub is connected with 4 USB-drives and my PC can see 4 different USB-drives.
Why shouldn't see the EDA500 5 different HDD's if I connect the EDA500 (with 5 HDD's) directly to a SATA-port on the motherboard?
Or is there a esata-lock implented by Netgear? The latter I couldn't read anywhere.
