EDA500 connecting directly to PC
Before I order the EDA500 Expansion Chassis 5-Bay I want to verify if I can connect the EDA500 directly to my PC with Windows 10. Can anybody help me with this? Is there any compatibity list wit...
The combination EDA500 and StarTech.com 2-port SATA 6 Gbit/s PCI Express eSATA (PEXESAT32) WORKS!!!
But if you connect the second EDA500 to the second port of the PCI, it does NOT work.

I think there are other people here who would like to know if this works. So if you choose to do a risk buy, please do post back.
Note that none of the folks posting on this thread work for Netgear (the Netgear folks who are active here haven't commented).
BTW, one of the EDA500 bays isn't electrically connected to the SATA bus - it is intended to hold a spare. So it's really a 5-bay unit with a storage slot.
