Encrypt USB drive backup
I backup daily to a USB drive. I rotate the drive every now and then and take the most recent one offsite (in case of theft, fire or some other kind of disaster).
Is there any way to encrpyt the data written to the USB drive such that when left offsite (eg at the office, in a desk drawer) the data cannot be read without a password?

- chirpaLuminaryNothing in the firmware at this time. Might be possible with an add-on.
I did a quick test once with encfs. A wrapper could be made around that. I had planned to make an add-on like this when I was at NETGEAR, but no longer there.

If anyone is interested in taking this on, I can provide helpful links, such as a directory to drop scripts which will run on USB drive insertion (for auto key load). - handsooonAspirantyou mean to password protect data on pen drive?
if so, I suggest truecrypt(www.truecrypt.org/downloads.php)or USB Security(http://www.abettersoft.com/usb-security.html). there are all great, truecrypt is free; USB Security supports to encrypt part or whole of the usb drive, it seems more security;
