Firmware 6.10.5 web interface broken in final release
My RN10200 had a 2tb drive die - so I replaced with two 4TB Seagate Iron Wolf NAS drives. There was a notice that a new version of the firmware was available 6.10.5 so I figured I should update this....

I was eventually able to get Firefox on my laptop to get on the the NAS web interface after doing a lot of playing around clearing caches/histories, etc. So I chose the firmware update feature in the interface to go back to the 6.10.3 version. After a reboot this seem to allow access to the NAS interface from everywhere again. So I'm not sure what the advantages might be of 6.10.5 - but the problems with the web interface seem to negate any improvements that might be in the latest version. So I'd be wary of this available update and treat the latest version as being still in beta.
The 6.10.3 inteface does keep coming up and saying that a later release (6.10.4) is available and do I want to install that. But after my experience with 6.10.5 I think I'll keep replying to ignore the optional update and stick with 6.10.3 that has been stable for a long while.
Regards,
Chuck.

I have not had to move back in a firmware update. I have 6.10.5 installed and need to re-install 6.10.3
Within the firmware where would I find the command to re-install 6.10.3? Sorry but this is the first time I have had to consider this.
Thanks
George

There's a post here that might help: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyNAS-Beta/Login-loop-av-6-10-5-Beta1-upgrade-Readynas212/m-p/2099708#M10916
If you have ssh access, you don't need to boot up in tech support mode, you can just use wget, etc.

I found a way to stop the Admin signon cycle on my four RN102 NAs units. Why this works is not clear at all to me.
I log on to my NAS units, I see the main page and "quickly" click on Settings.
One the next page I quickly click on the arrow shown under the Check for Updates heading.
I select Beta. For reasons unknown to me this stops the cycling of the admin signon.
Once it stops the cycling of the admin signon I then click on the Install Firmware button and browse to my desktop to select the 10.6.4 firmware file I placed there.
On three of my units the above worked and on the fourth unit I had to try a number of times to get the cycling of the admin signon to stop by the same procedure described above.
In all four cases this was successful with no other modifications necessary.
Why this worked is not at all clear to me but I am glad to get these units back to a stable firmware 10.6.4.
Give it a shot and see if this works for you.
It took some time trying to click quickly but in the end it worked for me.
