I have been reading a number of posts related to the setup of SFTP but it is unclear to me if it's possible to activate SFTP in such a way that the 3rd party that will move files to my ReadyNAS will not get root access. I have no technical knowledge of computers beyond the Mac and Readynas GUI's although i've worked with unix many years ago. I'd be ok to use the terminal as long as the instructions are hands on.
Can anyone tell me where to find a detailed instruction on how to get this SFTP setup without giving away root access to my Readynas?
I'm using a Macbook Pro with Snowleopard and have a Readynas Pro with RAIDiator 4.2.17.
