- jpass022LuminaryI am running 6.3.3-T153 presently on my RN516. Is there any advantage to changing to 6.2.4?

Logs sent. RN104 was "unresponsive" this morning (not showing up in RAIDar, can't get to admin page or shares). Was working fine last night until 22:00. I do have some backups that run at midnight. Other that that, no use while we're asleep. Sent backups right after reboot (I have to pull the plug, the power button NEVER shuts it down, but that's another mystery) at 6:15am.
All this after downgrading from 6.2.4 to 6.2.3 Beta6 - euphosAspirantMaybe "Lock-up" is the wrong word. But I could not get to the admin page nor did any of the shares work. Raidar didn't show the NAS as well. If 6.2.3 Bet 6 locks up like 6.2.4 I'll send more logs ASAP. FWIW...The lock-up today occurred about 16:00.

- euphosAspirantLogs sent...Hope they help. I downgraded to 6.2.3 Beta 6 due to the daily lockups.

Also Can't detect the NAS with RAIDar. Switch off does not respond and I have to pull the power cord out to switch it off. Once On, all works till it goes "Offline" again!
I am having the same experience with my RN104. The most stable firmware for this device in months has been Beta 6.2.3 T1721 which I may revert back to again.
I too an having similar issues with 6.2.4. About once a day the system hangs. Where is this elusive 6.2.3 T1721? Is is a Beta 6.5? I have Beta 6 (T1718) that I'll try reverting to. - LeakerAspirantLogs sent, thanks mdgm.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retiredleaker can you send me your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

still the warning of 70% full is showing in the log. this is annoying.
i have been assured that 70% full post no prob.
The whole point of warning before there is a problem is to alert you that it would be good idea to take action to expand the volume or free up space.
If we only start warning when there is a problem then that doesn't help with avoiding running into problems.timfitz wrote: I've had two clients update their own ReadyNAS devices to 6.2.4 on their own and lose their Egnyte storage sync share access after the update
After a firmware update, an app developer may need to update their app for it to remain compatible so if an app is very important to you it would be a good idea to check with the app developer that they've tested it and found it to be working on new firmware before doing the firmware update.timfitz wrote: BTW: is there a way to disable the nag screen for updating the firmware? Or like set it to check every x months? Sometimes users need to log in to do basic admin tasks like add or remove new Egnyte users, and the update nag is apparently just super tempting. Alternate solution would be a non-admin interface for users to do this, or a sub-admin management role, I suppose. The user story here is, I would like to be able to switch from automatically to manually checking for updates. (Found some info about such a feature for v4 but not yet for v6.)
I don't think there is a way to disable the prompt currently. As you mentioned you don't have to agree to do the update. Generally I would encourage users to use the latest firmware as it will provide the best experience in most cases.
