I have also installed the same strip of memory in my ReadyNAS Duo and all the problems with lack of response and web interface disconnections have disappeared. I was lucky it was a strip left over from a Laptop upgrade
I use Kingston ValueRAM in both my ReadyNAS products, no trouble so far. :)
