Mac permissions RAIDiator 4.2.31
I am running a graphics department with many mac and windows users. There are some files on the NAS that only certian macs (accidentally) have permissions to see. I want to make a hard copy of the ...

This might speed things up...
First, on the CIFS screen, scroll down to the "advanced cifs" section in both shares and make sure it's configured as shown below:
After you'd done this click apply, and go back to the advanced options screen:
Also check the "Set ownership" box before you click apply. The check will immediately clear when you click apply. It will make sure that all the files and folders in the share have these permissions set correctly.

Thanks Stephen for the quick response!!
I will try the second option first so I can get the copy of all the data done.
Then I will try messing with the permissions for each share in case I goof something up. (I do not know how to do it but I would think it is something I can figure out...)
I suspect my backups are not even complete since the backup mac is not logged in as admin!!

This is Very exciting!
Nobody/nogroup? Amazing!!
I think that has solved my folder permissions issue!!!!! You my friend I owe a drink!
I have one other problem is that some of the files copy over "locked"
Is ther any way to change this globally on the NAS?
