RAID 10 Expansion
I have a RAID 10 using (4) 4TB drives. I was running out of space, so I added two more drive into the empty bay 5 and bay 6. I went into the volume, choose the two new drives and clicked "Expand". ...

I don't think gjohnson71 is trying to change RAID levels, he is sticking with RAID-10. But he does want to expand to 6 disks instead of 4.
I am thinking (like you) that the expansion will show up when the resync is complete. But mdstat.log will show the details of how the RAID array is set up, and will also show us the sync status.

That's exactly what happened. Once the sync was complete the extra space showed up. I guess I was thinking that it would show up right away. Thanks for all of your input. Now I know for next time.
