RDD516 Disk is now showing Disk not NETGEAR
I have had my RDD516 installed and running for 5 years. All of a sudden one drive is coming up as Disk Not NETGEAR. Is there a way to fix this?

It sounds like the drive "lost" it's certification. Did you do anything with the drive outside of the RDD? Are you sure it's still functional? Is it creating an access or other problem?
With the latest ReadyData firmware, it is not necessary to use Netgear certified drives. So if everything else is OK, I would just consider that a nuisance. But, I believe the Netgear mods can remotely restore the Netgear certification if you send them the right documentation (a photo of the drive w/Netgear label, I think) if it is creating any actual problems.
Nothing was done outside the RDD but over the weekend the entire thing has crashed and will not boot all the way up. I have a case in with Netgear now to try and fix it.
