ReadyNas 102 new hdd not detected

erf, I reflected a bit over what you said about the disk not getting enough power and I found the cause : I couldn't find the right alim for the nas so I picked something that was matching the connector => a block with 12V - 1A. I tried with another one, this time 12v - 3A and now the NAS can detect the disk (disk led is alight, disk is detected on the web UI).

No, I really meant 2 TB and I took the reference on the shop where I bought the disk.
Anytools recommended to test the disk on PC, I'm mostly using linux (but can use windows as well) ? is it for using SMART thing to monitor the disk state ?
I used ssh and the disk is not detected in /dev.
But it kinda seems like the disk is detected during the NAS boot process (the disk led is on when the NAS is booting, but after few second ~10s it's going off).

My bad, I mentally added a 0 to your model number (ST20000NT001). So the size certainly is not the issue.
I suggest using Seatools to check it.
It's available for both Windows and Linux platforms.
I assumed you did, I should have emphasized a bit more on the model number ^^'
Anyway, I ran seatools with the "quick test" feature, it passed without any error or warning (the disk is new so I wouldn't have expected otherwise). I can run an extended one if you want.
