I have forgotten my password, doh! I have password recovery turned on and I have requested a new password but I have not received an email. I have done a 'normal' reset but this has not taken me back...

I agree with Sandshark, might as well try using a different browser when requesting for the password using the recovery feature if you have not done it yet.
Otherwise, the last step would be to do OS-Reinstall.
