Based on what you have mentioned I encourage you to submit the ReadyNAS logs to NETGEAR Support since you have an open case about your concern. Kindly access this link as reference on how to submit the ReadyNAS logs for it to be analyzed.

Finally got it connected through my laptop. Using the ADMIN page, I uploaded a file. It uploaded about 45mb in 6 seconds then stopped for a minute or two, and then another 40+ mb at about the same rate, then stopped for a minute or to . . . so forth and so on. Still very, very slow. This copy was from one of my D-Link NASs on my network.
Copying directly from my laptop to the ReadyNAS . . . Same thing . . . 45mb, then pause, then 45 or so more, the pause, etc.

Just to close the loop on this. My problem appears to have been caused by a hard drive getting ready to go bad. I replaced the hard drive and speeds improved dramatically.
