Readynas 2100

Hello All

I've just registered as a new user as I'm having trouble with a ReadyNAS 2100 that I've just bought.

 

I have attached a couple of screenshots.

 

Picture 1 shows the details using Raidar which seem correct.

 

But when I try to connect via ReadyNAS all I get is what you see in Photo 2.

 

Hopefully someone will come to my rescue and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I have factory reset it and I can access the drives via windows.

    Photo 2 is not the web admin interface - it's a list of shares that are set up for http access.  No shares are set up that way by default, so this screen (though confusing) is normal.

     

    You'd access the web admin interface using https://192.168.1.66/admin (the admin bit matters!).

     

    But there is a catch - your NAS only supports TLS 1.0, and most browsers deprecated that a few months ago.  You can use internet explorer (if it is installed on your PC), or Edge in IE mode (google that if you aren't sure how to do it).  An older version of firefox also will work (94.0.2 for example).  More information on this topic (including a link to an add-on that will add TLS 1.2 support to your NAS) is here:

     

    After you gain access to the web ui, you should upgrade the firmware to 4.2.31 - the current (and final) software.  Install the add-on after you've done that.

      Very grateful. I tried IE tabs for Edge, Chrome and Firefox, none seemed to work so I downloaded the older version of Firefox as you suggested.
