ReadyNas 214 - Email Alerts not being sent after updating to version 6.10.3
I just upgraded my ReadyNAS 214 to version 6.10.3 from version 6.10.2 without any errors. I am now getting error in log stating Mar 19, 2020 04:17:53 PM System: Alert message failed to...

Thanks very much for responding...
It is my same Gmail account that did work before. I just tried updating the alert information using my Me.com address and got the same error so it appears this error is independent of the email address environment.

gmail is working for me with 6.10.3.
Has anything changed with your internet connection? Any rough idea on when it stopped working?

Interesting that it works for you. Just to confirm, the password that you are using for your gmail alert address is the password for your Netgear NAS admin user account, right?
I thought that something was off in my local IT environment as well but all of my other applications and devices that require the internet work fine. Also, my remote NAS which is on a totally different local IT environment is also having this same problem.

No. It's my gmail account password.

Thanks for the reply.
I thought I had tried that before but just tried again with my Gmail password with same result. Not sure why we need to enter my Gmail password to send an email but just remembered that I have Two Factor Authentication set for my Google account. Wondering if that has something to do with it. Will try to set up a custom password within Google and try that in the Netgear. Again, not sure why we need to have a password in Netgear to send an email.
StephenB - You said earlier that it worked for you. Do you have Two Factor Authentication set up for your Google account?
