ReadyNAS 314 error msg

Receiving arbitray messages, "External storage device connected" not sure why this randomly occurs.

yes. Have had one attached for quie some time. Why would things now have changed?

So the message is correct - and is not an error message - only an indication of status.

  the msg is sent to my email address a status/notification update. Yes, IT did update firmware within last month or two.

    Maybe ask them to raise the level of email alerts from "info" to "warning".
