ReadyNAS 314 LCD Displaying Memory Error

Memory Error with no ability to use the boot menu appears pretty clear cut. Most likely either a problem with the memory (RAM) or the memory coming loose in shipment.
With a recent purchase if you can return it to your reseller in exchange for a new unit that would be best.
If you were seeing e.g. "Out of Memory" that would be a completely different issue and wouldn't suggest bad hardware.

I cannot get to the boot menu at all. It won't get past the error message. I'm already requesting an RMA. I don't want to open the device since I bought it within a couple of weeks.

With that said, when I get the replacement will it attempt to format the hard drives?

Hi davila917,
No, it shouldn't. Your system should boot up correctly and volume should be online. Kindly update this thread once you receive the replacement chassis and successfully transferred the drives to it.

Hello moderators and interested readers,
Sorry for the late response, but I was out on vacation and finally had the chance to setup the replacement. I put in the hard drives and all my previous data and setting were preserved. Thanks for the help.
