ReadyNAS Duo V1
T have 2 old duo's version 1 from 2010 both x raid formatted, are the xraid formatted disks compatable with a new version 2 duo and can anyone confirm the latest firmware versions that were published for a V1 duo

The latest duo v1 firmware is 4.1.15. The disks are not compatible with ReadyNAS that run 4.2.x, 5.x, or 6.x firmware. That includes the Duo v2 (which runs 5.x).
If you are planning to get a new NAS, the best way to migrate the data is over the network by creating backup jobs using the web admin interface.
