rclark - I usually recommend that anyone increasing their memory, be it in a PC or NAS (although PC's are less picky about their memory) to remove the stock memory, get the mfg, model and specs off the module and match it as to at lest the speed and timing, the mfg if possible and the same memory series is even better.
Also, when replacing the memory on a ReadyNAS, be sure to run the memory test from the boot menu several times.
