Yes, "high density", 2Rx4 (as opposed to 2Rx8 ot 1Rx8, and often labeled "AMD only"), RAM does not work in the Pro6 or most any Intel system of that generation. Since most desktop PC's of the time were limited to 4GB by their 32-bit operating systems, 4GB 2Rx8 sticks are hard to come by or much higher priced. Servers, which tended to run 64-bit OS's that can use more memory, also tend to use registered and/or ECC RAM, which also will not work on the Pro6.

Yep, I have servers so pretty familiar with ranking and banking and the different types, and it's pretty interesting to know that a lot of these peculiarities go all the way back to ddr2 days where fbdimms were the big topic back then.
