ReadyNAS Ultra4 cannot login with default password
Seen various topics where people cannot sign into their ReadyNAS Ultra 4 after factory resetting it.
The NAS was gifted to me about a year ago by someone who had upgraded to a new one. I was able to sign in at the time with the password that was given to me. I decided to start using it recently but the password no longer worked so I factory reset the NAS. However, the default username and password of 'admin' and 'netgear1' do not work?
I have also reinstalled the OS. I have no clue what firmware/OS it is other than it should be the latest for this model?

Are you getting an SSL Protocol Version mismatch error in the browser? Or are you getting to the username/password prompt?
If the previous owner converted your NAS to run OS-6 firmware, then the default admin password would be password. So maybe try that.

Are you trying this with or without drives installed? What do you see on the display and in RAIDar?

I was getting up to the username/password prompt - but yes, 'password' was the new default password. I thought I had already tried it I may have done it inbetween factory resetting it and doing the OS update. Thanks!

Great!
Then your Ultra 4 must be running 6.x.x firmware.
