It sounds like the QNAP is powering off before telling the ReadyNAS too.
What difference does it make if you increase the number of minutes or change to using the "Turn of the server after the AC power fails for" option. I don't think the ReadyNAS has the "auto-protection" mode so configuring the QNAP to use that could be the problem.
