Hi I'm looking to buy some replacement disk caddys. Unfortunately the ones I have seemed to have snapped on removal (no special removal just pressed the button then little bits of plastic came off...

Here are a couple in the UK:
It may be easier to find a deal on a ReadyNAS being sold as parts only that still has the caddies included.
A piece of tape on the lever will work until you find replacements.

Yours are the old round-button ones? Are they not latching or won't open? Difficulty opening them is the norm (VERY poor design), and most users simply use a bent paper clip or jeweler's screwdriver to press down on the actual metal latch behind the plastic lever.
When purchasing replacements, the ones for a legacy desktop unit with the square releases are far superior. But ones for a newer native OS6 unit or any rack-mount unit will not work. Unfortunately, no other brand will work, either.
The going price for these caddies is around $30- to $40 US, so finding a cheap non-working NAS with caddies can be your best bet if you need to replace them all. Of course, buying a whole NAS will up the shipping cost significantly.

Hi
Thanks for the replies - yes they're the round button ones - unfortunately bits broke off them which was holding the drives in place - now with the drives pushed in the latch doesn't catch so they're always open and prone to coming loose with the vibration.
I'll see if I can find a none-working drive as I need around 5 of these!
