Replicate RN102 and RN212
Hi.
I already have a RN202 and I now consider to get a RN212 also in order to use it more acitvely as media server and for replication. Is it possible to replicate from RN212 to RN102 over the internet?
Kind regards,
Casper
Usually it is better to start with them on the same lan, since it can avoid a full backup over the internet.

Yes. You can also use rsync-over-ssh to back up the data.
If you have a lot of media (or are expecting the library to grow substantially over the next few years) you might consider the RN214 (keeping slots empty for future use). It's cheaper to have more slots in the long run.
- casskoAspirantThank you very much for your reply! That sounds super.
For the initial backup jobs would it be possible to connect the two nases to the same LAN and there after place one of the nases in another location and connect via the internet? Or would that mess things up?
I will consider the RN214...- StephenBGuru - Experienced User
