Running Nakivo Backup on ReadyNAS

G'day All,

I'm using a ReadyNAS for offsite backup storage of data from Nakivo Backup software.  I've found from previous experience that Nakivo seems to work better if the remote site has its own transporter, so I'm toying with installing the transporter software on the ReadyNAS device, as there are no servers at the site, only the NAS.  Nakivo transporter can be installed on Linux and is also supported on Synology NAS units, so theoretically it should be possible on ReadyNAS.

Has anyone previously attempted, or had any experience attempting to undertake similar operations?

What are the pitfalls I need to watch for?

If it all goes peaar shaped, how do I recover the NAS unit?

Thanks, in advance for any feedback.

    Hello Aus_Murph,

    Welcome to the community!

Apps that are available for ReadyNAS can be checked here.

If it is not listed and you have not found it from the community apps board, adding this as a suggestion at the idea exchange board may help.

    Regards,
