Transfer to new NAS (files and settings)

Thanks for the confirmation. I feel like a visit to Synology may be the solution as I do not need to go through this exercise the next time as well.
Netgear has supported direct migration in all OS-6 systems since its introduction in 2013. That includes migration from the arm platforms to the x86 ones. So I don't think this is something you'd run into again.
Though personally I haven't found setting up from scratch to take very long. The RAID build is the longest step, and transferring settings doesn't make that go any faster.
