Cannot access Rsnapshot directories from Windows
Hi all,
I think I have Rsnaphot now working correctly on my Readynas NVX. I can access the \\NAS\snaphot\hourly.0 etc directories from windows (Vista). However, I can NOT access its subdirectories e.g. \\NAS\snaphot\hourly.0\media : "You do not have access to the file "\\NAS\snaphot\hourly.0\media".
If I log into NAS via SSH, I can access the directories and see that the correct files are present indeed and that all (NAS) users should have reading rights. Apparently this is not sufficient to grant reading rights to the PC users.
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance,
Joost

- horstenjAspirantProblem solved. It turned out that rsnapshot was not working correctly yet and was just creating symlinks iso actual directories. Rsnapshot is now creating its first actual backup (700 GB done, 700 more to go....) and indeed now I can access the (so far partial) snaphsot directories from Windows.
