Dropbox ?
Dropbox is a very handy service for keeping files in sync across multiple computers and it support Windows, Mac, and Linux. I have only tested in Windows so far, but I use Linux as well and might use...
The CLI client defaults to creating an using a "Dropbox" folder in each users home directory. There are tools to relocate the folder, but a symlink to the new location works just a well.
