in /etc/inittab you can find that the default runlevel is "2"
so i used the following script you can find in :

and copied it to:
and then created this symbolic link to the second runlevel:
then dropbox started automatically on my NAS upon reboot
id:2:initdefault:

/etc/init.d/dropbox
and then created this symbolic link to the second runlevel:
ln -s /etc/init.d/dropbox /etc/rc2.d/S99dropbox
then dropbox started automatically on my NAS upon reboot
