Gigabit requires all 8 contacts to be functioning - if some are open, you can end up negotiating a slower speed. Though usually you'd end up with 100 mbit, not 10.
I'd wait for the resync to finish, then then power down/restart the NAS.
Maybe also check the NIC connection on the NV+, as it might have been disturbed when you upgraded the disks.
Just in case - you are aware that the NV+ v1 doesn't support drives > 2 TB?

Drives that we change are 4x1TB, thanks for the input for maximum capacity (2TB) for each drive on that unit I did not know...
